All The Thoughts That Run Through Your Mind Before Every Morning Workout

We have all seen or heard of people that wake up at the crack of dawn and get their day started with a morning workout. There are plenty of people that wake up at 5 A.M. and go for a morning run, cycle, or hit the gym. We do have to say; we admire their dedication to the early bird life.

But, have you ever wondered what goes through an early bird’s mind every morning and every night?

Every morning is a struggle to wake up, surprised? Yes, even for the early bird it’s a battle to urge yourself to get out of bed and started. Every night though, the early bird hits the hay feeling confident and ready for the next day because they’ve become addicted to the fresh post-workout feel they know they’ll get the next morning.

There’s a battle that happens internally every early bird goes through and no night owl will ever comprehend:

8:00 P.M: “Score! I just remembered tomorrow is back day (or whatever favorite day, we’d have to say leg day is our day)! Yes! It’s gonna be a good morning!”

8:30 P.M: “I should get ready for tomorrow morning, there’s nothing worse than having to run around grabbing everything I need.”

9:00 P.M: “Right, everything’s done and ready. Bag: yup, supplements: yup, water bottle: yup, food: yup. Alright, time to read (or whatever other relaxing activity) and get to bed.”

10:00 P.M: “Damn it, got carried away. Time to hit the sack.”

5:00 A.M: *Alarm ringing* “What’s that awful noise? I just managed to get to sleep.” *snooze*

5:10 A.M: *Second alarm ringing* “Ah, I’m gonna be late” *runs to the bathroom*

5:15 A.M: “Why do I torture myself with an early morning start every single time?”

5:17 A.M: “Can’t today just be my rest day, I could so easily fall asleep.”

5:20 A.M: “Alright, I’m dressed. But, maybe just another 10-minute nap before I head out for the day.”

5.22 A.M: *Laying on the bed* “If you stay here, you’re not going to go to the gym, and then you’re going to feel horrible, so get up and go.” *sighs* “Yes, mom! Why is my internal go-do voice always my mom’s voice?”

5.30 A.M: *On the way to the gym* “It’s so peaceful, everything is so calm, streets are empty, neighborhoods are quiet. Why did I want to stay in bed?”

5:45 A.M: *In the gym* “Yup, wouldn’t have missed this for the world!”
